SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: |
On 1 February 2025 NAIH launched a new project called AWARE, aimed at raising data protection awareness among SMEs. Funded by the European Union and running from 2025 to 2027, the project aims to achieve the general objectives of the call for proposal and specifically targets micro-enterprises in the beauty industry and private healthcare sector, in cooperation with Hungarian and EU SME associations and chambers of commerce. The project aims to raise awareness of the General Data Protection Regulation among micro-enterprises at national and EU level by highlighting key factors and areas of relevance from a data protection point of view, and providing relevant knowledge and information to the target groups. Particular attention will be paid to employment issues, the mapping of the rights of data subjects and information society services, with a focus on the protection of women and children in the context of data processing. The project is being implemented under the supervision of NAIH in consortium with Trilateral Research Ltd, an Irish research and development company specializing in new technologies and data protection issues. |
